1,000 Arctic® apple lovers and counting!

While major milestones like Arctic® apple approval get all the press, sometimes the unsung feats are equally rewarding. Last week we were thrilled to surpass 1,000 followers on both Twitter and Facebook, but really, our true excitement stems from what these thresholds signify. Namely, that so many people are interested in learning more about Arctic® apples and the science behind them!

We know that people are passionate about the food they eat, and rightfully so. This means that creating opportunities for everyone to engage in open, transparent conversations about how their food is made is of the utmost importance. And, despite our company’s small size, we are excited to be as big a part of that conversation as possible.@ArcticApples Twitter

After all, it’s clear that consumers are more interested in learning about biotech foods than ever, and luckily, it’s also easier than ever for them to do just that. While biotech companies’ primary customers have traditionally been farmers, the next wave of biotech crops have plenty of benefits for consumers. With this in mind, biotech crop developers like us are increasingly committed to making digestible (ahem…) information of our foods readily available. Better, yet, farmers are taking a greater role as well!

We look forward to continuing these conversation on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and plenty of other ways over the coming years. We’re confident that the more engagement among scientists, farmers and consumers, the better for everyone!
