Our Canadian and U.S. staff will be signing off for a few days to enjoy the year-end holidays with our families; we’ll resume blogging in 2012. We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours the very best of the season, and in the New Year ahead.
2011 has been an exciting and eventful year for our Arctic® apples, after more than a decade in development and testing. Throughout the year, our science team has had numerous, very positive discourses with the diligent staff at USDA, the U.S. agency that is handling our “petition for deregulated status,” as well as at FDA. That’s been a rewarding experience for our little company. (You can read more about the U.S. regulatory review process in this earlier blog post, and on the Arctic® apple website.)
2012 holds a great deal of promise for us here at OSF and with Arctic® apples, as the regulatory review process enters its final phase. We look forward to sharing our ongoing story with you – and getting the go-ahead to take this amazing fruit to market! – in the year ahead. Until then, happy New Year!
