Happy holidays from OSF!

It’s been a fun and eventful year at Okanagan Specialty Fruits and while we’ll provide a 2012 recap in our next blog entry, we wanted to leave you with one last post this year sharing some great apple-themed holiday recipes from some of the world’s top chefs:

  • This video from Gordon Ramsey demonstrates how to make a Caramelized Cranberry and Apple Sauce that packs lots of flavor. Best of all, it can be preparedSanta Holding Apple days in advance. Just think….soon you won’t have to worry about how far in advance you slice those apples, thanks to nonbrowning Arctic® apples!
  • For dessert, Martha Stewart lists her recipe for Old Fashioned Apple Pie, which uses one of our favourite apple varieties – Granny Smith, as her top Christmas themed desert.
  • Jamie Oliver offers another great dessert option, and these fruity Caramel Baked Apples certainly have our mouths watering!

We hope you get a chance to try some of these tasty recipes for yourself, and if you do, leave us a comment sharing how they turned out! Also, for a fun project for kids, follow these simple steps to make Apple Santa Clauses.

From all of us at OSF, wishing you a happy and safe holiday season – see you in 2013!
