A treat that’s as cold as the Arctic

I’m still in denial. Denial that the care-free, lazy days of summer have been traded in for back to school and the return of mom’s taxi service.

Our family is doing our best to soak up these last few days of summer before we have to swap the swimsuits for sweaters and bid a formal farewell to summer. And nothing quite says ‘summer’ like a good old-fashioned popsicle.

Popsicles are the perfect way to cool down on a hot day and are so easy to make. Plus, kids think you’re the greatest parent ever for letting them have a treat – little do they know we’re of course putting fruit in them!

Here are some easy steps you can follow to make your own at home:

  1. Peel approximately 6-8 oz. of Arctic® apples and chop into small pieces.
  2. Use a popsicle mold that makes between 4-6 popsicles and fill each mold halfway with Arctic® apples and any of your other favorite fruits.
  3. Pour some sparkling water or your favorite fruit juice into the remainder of the mold and place the popsicle sticks inside each mold.
  4. Freeze.
  5. Eat them in the sunshine and enjoy it while it lasts!
